Due to continuous success and organic growth, a UK Manufacturer part of an International Group with a site turnover of c£15m is recruiting an Assistant Product Manager in addition to their successful growing team.

Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, you will manage the day to day running of all commercial project related matters involving both customers and sub-contractors providing support to the Product Marketing Manager whilst promoting a strong and positive relationship between the Commercial Team and all other departments.

You will be passionate, organised and detailed about product and process with a clear understanding of the boundaries of technically advanced products, processes and projects with a demonstrable exposure working in a product focused team with new product development activities. Possess a clear understanding of the fine multi disciplines to analyse and support the interfaces to break the problem down into chunks and manage the delivery of those pieces. Having a firm understanding of both your customer and team, including subcontractors, will be the core of your success in order to solve and correct problems.

Ideally you will be degree qualified in engineering/product management or similar calibre with a sound knowledge of MS Office including MS Project with software such as Adobe Illustrator or SolidWorks with an interest in global business and complexities thereof.

Your key responsibilities include:

* Establish and maintain a standard of performance that supports the strategic vision for the business.

* Day-to-day management of commercial projects.

* Generation of product supply specifications working closely with the team and our commercial partners (both customer and suppliers).

* Management and control of specifications including the release and updating processes internally and with customers and suppliers.

* Sales project management timelines utilising Gantt charts or equivalent to ensure projects meet agreed target completion dates.

* Formal project specification sign-off and acceptance with all the relevant participants including the customer.

* Managing and driving the design of packaging and artwork tasks within various customer and supplier facing projects.

* Ensure all Engineering Change Requests pertinent to commercial projects are managed correctly including the supporting processes and procedures.

* Provide full support to the Sales and Marketing teams on Sales Projects including project management of various commercial projects.

* Ensure that any agreed reports are completed by agreed deadlines and are properly reviewed with any critical actions highlighted and escalated where necessary.

* Promote and maintain a safe, clean and tidy approach to all work situations in line with the Company's Health & Safety policy & Housekeeping standards.

* Business travel when necessary.
