Tradewind is seeking a Premises Manager to join a non-maintained special school and independent specialist college in St. Helens. There is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Premises Manager to join a hardworking multi-disciplinary team.
This is a permanent role (term time + 4 weeks) equating to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will earn £20 per hour. If you are committed to providing the very best to support positive outcomes for our young people, we would welcome an application from you.
The successful candidate will:
Effectively and efficiently manage site resources
Proactively develop the premises to meet the ongoing needs of the organisation
Ensure a safe working and learning environment in accordance with relevant legislation
Have relevant experience in managing and leading a team
Have the ability to be flexible and work between both school/college and across sites
Arrange larger repairs and obtain quotes from contractors
Arrange regular periodic deep cleans of classrooms, staffrooms, dining areas and other frequently used spaces on premises
Monitor the work of staff and contractors, ensuring safe working practices and quality of work
Ensure regular and thorough site inspections (including statutory testing) are carried out, ensuring any necessary remedial works are actioned promptlyWhat you need:
IOSH or NEBOSH Certificate(s) in Fire Safety and Risk
Relevant experience in facilities/estate management (ideally 4+ years)
Project management and planning skills
Experience managing and leading a team
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one
Legal right to work in the UK
