Job Role: Income Team Leader
Pay rate up to £26ph umbrella
Location: South East London
Hours: 36 Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm
Temporary role: 3 months + hybrid role
Commutable area with easy access to public transport
Up to 28 days paid holiday

Flexible working hoursAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Income Team Leader to join our Client who is a local authority based in South East London.
The main responsibilities of this Income Team Leader role is:
Support the Income and Debt Services Manager
Direct and instigate legal action as appropriate (DIY or through Legal Services)
Supervising and training staff to attend and represent the Council in Court with due regard for legal protocols in relation to debt issues.
Implement a performance management framework to ensure achievement of targets set for the services
Ensure that income staff provide debt advice and assistance to council tenants in a clear and appropriate manner and in accordance with the existing income collection procedures.
Liaise and communicate with Members and other stakeholders to ensure swift responses to complaints and queries; use learning from these communications to identify service trends and make recommendations for service improvements
Work in accordance with income collection management procedures and contribute to their ongoing review.Skills required for this Income Team Leader role
Understanding of current issues affecting local authority and social housing.
Knowledge of good practice and processes in performance management.
Excellent communication skills
Able to manage and supervise staff in the office and remotely
Knowledge of DWP benefit levels and provisions
