SEN Teaching Assistant - ME10

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a client school in the Sittingbourne/Swale area

The client Primary School are seeking a SEN teaching assistant to join their staffing team on a full time basis. The role will be to start in September and have the potential to run for the full academic year.

The role would be helping students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and additional learning difficulties. The aim is to create an atmosphere that supports the students to grow in their education, so they are able to contribute to society in a positive way.

We are looking for Teaching assistants who are excellent practitioners and take on a dynamic approach to learning. A genuine passion and strong understanding of SEND, and more specifically SEMH learning environments. We are looking for individuals who have a fantastic work ethic, who can bring their dedication and specialist knowledge to help students learning and development.

The Successful Candidate Will Have
• Experience with SEN children
• Qualifications in the relevant field
• Experience working with children on a 1:1 basis and with small groups

As the child can show challenging behaviour, a candidate who can deal with deflecting situations and build strong working relationships would be ideal for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
