This is a key role in the Data Controls and Governance Team. The role holder will need to work across the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) and Data Community of Practice (CoP), using their knowledge of the Bank; its services, processes, systems, tools, data, to design and implement solutions to meet regulatory reporting data control requirements.

The role reports directly to the Head of Data Controls and Governance and will be a pivotal role in influencing the value of data risk and control management for Regulatory Reporting and determining what 'good looks like' for target controls capability.

The difference you'll make.
  • Managing business as usual control operation for finance and risk systems/processes and models that support regulatory reporting.
  • Delivering controls that meet control policy standards and agreeing suitable operational procedures with Regulatory Reporting business areas.
  • Supporting strategic regulatory reporting change as the data controls SME
  • Leading relevant workstreams to design and implement regulatory reporting data controls requirements.
  • Defining implementation plans and metrics to track and report progress as well as communicate risk reduction.
  • Providing regular programme updates at relevant governance and risk forums.

What you'll bring.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory reporting and the implications for data controls.
  • Track record of leading BAU activities and change to successful conclusion or outcomes.

It would also be nice for you to have.
  • Experience of dealing with Regulators, regulatory reviews and meeting regulatory information requests.
  • Ability to present and walkthrough data controls solutions to senior stakeholders in a simple but compelling way.
  • Experience of developing risk and control operating models, helping define the necessary processes and roles and responsibilities across first and second lines of defence.
  • Track record of working in a collaborative manner to achieve buy in from a wide set of stakeholders

What else you need to know.

This is a permanent role based out of our Milton Keynes office with a mixture of home working and office working (5 days a week when needed) based on business demands.
