NeuroSupport services is looking for psychology graduates or candidates with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience to support services users with an acquired Brain Injury. Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life. We are looking for a Therapy assistant who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community.
Experienced in brain injury support is highy advantageous.
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI): memory, processing speed, attention, planning/ organising,
fatigue. Jacob also has problems regulating his body temperature and he will need support
with monitoring this.
Hour available: 8 - Ideally 2 short shifts per week, they are likely to be weekdays after 3.30pm or at weekends.
Starting at 4 hours per week (1 shift) but increasing to 2, so possibly 8 hours per week.
There will be plenty more opportunities for more hours for the suitable candidate.

Successful candidates will be willing to help people adapt to their limitations, but also strive to reach their goals. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to implement behavioural, psychological, and cognitive strategies, as well as support with daily living activities. Therapy Assistants should be confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.
Successful candidates must be:

* Experience in the field of Psychology
* Willing to become self-employed
