Our client is a world-renowned service provider of high performance, high integrity protection systems, specialising in certified, engineered, and bespoke multi-protection doorsets. Due to continuous growth in the business, they are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their busy team.
Assistant Accountant
Job Description
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions to support reliable reporting, including month-end uploads.
Accounting / Forecasting and Reconciliation of accounts
Demonstrate control over revenue and costs, explaining budgetary variances.
Providing insightful productivity analysis and cashflow reporting.
Support annual budgets and monthly forecasts, implementing new controls and mechanisms to achieve accuracy.
Work collaboratively within the team to ensure month-end, year-end and audit requirements are delivered
Provide the Month-end Cost Report in a timely manner
Payroll compilation including timely submission and journaling of costs to the ledger
Balance Sheet reconciliations

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant / Management Accountant
Proven experience of financial reporting / forecasting and reconciliations
Solid knowledge of advanced accounting and financial principles
Effective written, verbal and IT skills (incl. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships both face to face and via virtual meansAssistant Accountant
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Experience Sage Line 50
Studying or working towards qualification, ACCA, ACA or CIMA
