Are you an experienced Locum Dental Nurse seeking new opportunities across Edinburgh and the surrounding area? We are on the lookout for friendly, approachable and diligent Dental Nurses who are keen to work for a variety of popular dental practices, providing unrivalled support to Dentist's.

Your rate of pay and hours of work

As a Locum Dental Nurse, you will earn £9.50 to £13.00 per hour which will be paid on a weekly basis. These positions are temporary and hours of work can vary depending on the assignment.

Responsibilities in your new role

In joining our clients across Edinburgh as a Locum Dental Nurse, you will provide essential assistance to the Dentists in each practice by supporting them to carry out a variety of dental procedures. You will be confident in providing Oral Health Education information and sharing your knowledge of this to patients whilst helping calm the nerves of customers.

You will ensure that all dental instruments and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sterilised before and after use. Within this role, you will also be responsible for taking radiographs and impressions of teeth, whilst giving patients local aneasthetic under Dentist supervision. You may also be required to apply temporary sealants and coatings to patients teeth for maximum protection.

This role will also include monitoring and replenishing stock based on the practice you are working in, as well as collecting dental and medical histories whilst maintaining health records of patients.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

We are seeking experienced and knowledgeable Dental Nurses who are GDC registered to join our clients across the Edinburgh area. You will be an excellent communicator in order to liaise with Dental Nurses and patients on a daily basis.

Ideally, you will have at least 1 year of experience as a Dental Nurse, whilst being professional and keen to keep up to date with recent developments within the dental and healthcare industry.
