IT Service Operations Manager- Contract- Chelmsford/ Remote- £500- £550 a day umbrella.
We are looking for an experienced IT Service Manager who can hit the ground running supporting a busy IT service to ensure the service is running efficiently and effectively.

The job

The three Service Operations Managers are responsible for first and second-line technical support for applications and services, including end-user computing. This includes multi-function devices and specialised IT equipment. Teams within Service Operations include Service Fulfilment and Delivery, and the Service Desk inclusive of field engineers and device management as well as Training and Knowledge management.

The job will involve;
-Leading the Operational Teams to meet agreed service levels, ensuring the required quality of services are delivered in support of business operations and to continually drive improvement in the service delivered.
-Proactively monitor team productivity and address issues as they arise to ensure maximum efficiency and consistent service experiences.
-Ensure ITIL service management practices such as IT Asset Management and Service Configuration Management are followed, and that software updates and security patches are deployed on a timely basis. -Engage with business stakeholders to proactively manage and rationalise/reduce the number of desktop applications in use whilst still meeting business needs.

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager who has previous experience working in a busy IT service, ideally within local government or with a service provider.
