Our public sector client based in Wales is looking for a Project Assurance Specialist to provide services on specific projects within the PMO office.
Oversee operation of governance through the project lifecycle processes and outputs. Provide professional assurance services against the Governments '5 Case Business Model' and promotion of the '3 lines of Defence' assurance framework Producing, sharing and maintaining the project management processes, tools and templates to ensure consistency and coherency Setting and maintaining the standards for the consistent and professional delivery of projects. This includes defining and supporting Project & Programme Management (PPM) learning and compliance with the project management competency frameworks Provide visibility of project performance across the business that is robust and enables proactive project management and informed decision making Skills and Experience:
Extensive experience of project assurance, the 3 lines of defence model of assurance and the Government 5 Case Business Model Ability to independently provide professional gateway assurance against the 5 case business model for multiple projects Experience of PMO processes in a large organisations including gateway reviews and inflight project health check reviews as well as post implementation and benefits realisation reviews Experience of project closure reporting and lessons learning Ability to provide Project and Programme Management (PPM) advice and guidance to large and/or complex projects and programmes to ensure compliance and consistency with PPM policies and procedures Insight into assurance mapping and planning This is a great opportunity to work with a forward thinking, innovative organisation that puts the people of Wales first
