Our client is the leading European specialist in the manufacturing and supplying the highest quality products for almost 40 years, building a reputation of trust, reliability, innovation, and quality within the construction industry. They are looking to employ an Account Manager, this new role supports their strategic customer segmentation approach, to grow sales to existing accounts and develop new opportunities through defined channels as an internal account manager function.

Job Description:

The Account Manager's role will be to grow, support, service, actively develop new business opportunities with their clients "Independent Customers"
To meet or exceed business sales targets for the defined independent customer group
You will be required to take a dynamic approach to increase both brand awareness and to develop new routes to market opportunities for the defined independent customer group
To proactively contact via telephone, email, or video conferencing, all defined existing and previous independent customers and establish up to date customer contacts and details
The Account Manager will be required to proactively research and identify potential new independent customers for future acquisition
To fully manage the onboarding process and set-up for all new independent customers, arrange relevant training via the clients training resource arrange product demonstrations/roadshows, provide customer training for pricing and initial purchase order support
The Account Manager will also act as the key customer support contact for all independent customers, answering basic technical questions where possible and liaising with Customer Services, Technical, Accounts and Logistics where required
To work closely and collaboratively with marketing to develop effective communication strategies to optimise customer acquisition, sales revenue potential, customer retention and brand awareness
To ensure all appropriate account and contact information along with communication records are documented and updated within the CRM system Candidate Requirements:

Demonstrable experience in a sales-based role including account management, or other relevant experience or proven commercial account management
Demonstrable experience building and growing a customer base with ideally building supplies sector or construction sector experience
Excellent communication and natural relationship building skills
Strong IT skills and experience with the recognised Microsoft platforms (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Dynamics)
Capable administration skills with a high attention to detail
To reside in practical commuting distance to Stone, Staffordshire
Full driving licence and own vehicle required as some client visits will be needed - business mileage paid
Proactive approach to sales with the ability to make an impact
The skills needed to grow the current customers relationships and accounts
Experience in the construction/product sector is preferred Hours: Monday - Friday between 9:00am - 5:00pm (35 hours per week)
Salary: up to £25,000 per annum DOE + company bonus scheme
