Connect2Kent are currently looking for a temporary Commercial lead for Kent County Council.
The Purpose of the job is to develop and embed a commercial way of thinking and operating across KCC, and to shape a more effective approach to commissioning and contract management across the Council in order to reduce cost and improve outcomes across capital delivery.
To develop and maintain strong relationships with all Directorates, so that there is a clear pipeline of their commissioning and contract management activity, and so that opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement can be identified and realised with appropriate support and advice.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification and/or experience
* Substantial, relevant professional background and proven credibility in the field
* Holding or working toward an appropriate management qualification or standard such as KCCs Kent Manager or Future Manager programme
The role is inside IR35
