TheHireWorks is looking for a General Maintenance Assistant to work for our client, a prestigious College. Working as part of a team and also at times solo the successful candidate will need to be adaptable in this aspect.
Key Responsibilities:
* To assist with regular routine maintenance on plant and equipment, ensuring a minimum of College and or statutory requirements are maintained.
* Additional attendance may be required in order to respond to emergencies occurring outside normal working hours on a rota basis and overtime may also be required to be worked to ensure that all jobs/tasks are completed each day or week
* To undertake any other relevant duties, which arise due to the nature and character of the post as required.
* Support College compliance duties, set-up rooms for functions and teaching, help move furnishings.
About you:
When working solo the successful candidate must be able to use their own initiative within the company wide parameters. A punctual, positive and a good team-player will be successful in this role as the maintenance team is made up of various trades so the right employee will need to integrate well with helping the different trades at various times.
Employment Package:
Salary: Up to £21,000 depending on experience (DOE)
Hours: 39 hours Full Time (8-5 Mon-Thurs, 8-4 Fri)
Holiday: 25 days plus an additional 8 bank holiday days.
Meals: When on duty lunch will be provided by the servery of a set allowance.
Pension: There will be a pension for staff after a 3-month period that meets the requirements of the Occupational and Personal Scheme Regulations. You will be able to opt-out if you choose.
