1:1 Teachers Peterborough/Fenlands
1:1 Part time Teachers required in Peterborough and The Fenlands area
The SEN team at Strategy are looking for qualified teachers in the Peterborough and Fenlands areas.
We are looking for Teacher who can commit to working either mornings or afternoons for 3 hour sessions, or teachers who are able to do full days (one child in the morning and one in the afternoon).
Rate of pay
AM or PM sessions £70.00 - £75.00 per session either mornings or afternoons
All day sessions £130.00 - £140.00 per day
You will be working 1:1 either full or part time with primary or secondary pupils who are school refuser's, awaiting places in SEN schools, on the point of exclusion or have been excluded from school.
You will be supporting students who are not in mainstream schools for various reasons including Anxiety, Autism, SEMH, MLD and ADHD.
The primary activity is to provide an individualised education both academically and socially in the community in either a school setting or designated public building.
Duties include:
Assessing the individual needs of the pupil and following their EHCP's if applicable
Managing challenging behaviour in a positive and calm way
Have the ability to differentiate work according to each child's individual needs
Candidates must have
The legal right to work in the UK
You must hold QTS/QTLS or a recognised teaching qualification
Hold a Bachelor of Education, PGCE or UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
Enhanced DBS Certificate, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
The successful candidate will have some experience within the following:
This experience could have been gained in either a SEN or mainstream setting
Autism Spectrum Condition - ASC
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD
Social, Emotional and Mental Health - SEMH
Experience of de-escalation techniques would be advantageous.
