My client is single secondary school academy, looking to recruit Finance and Operations Manager to join their Senior Leadership Team.
The purpose of the role is to provide oversight and clarity to the SLT on all finance and operations matters relating to the School. With the backing of an excellent support team of line managers, this role oversees all the internal support functions to include Finance, Facilities, HR and IT.
- Budget negotiations, budgetary control, management accounts and compliance
- Regular reporting to SLT on finance position, with clarity and insight
- Develop commercial links with business that can generate educational benefits to students
- Research and make recommendations regarding the strategic development of the Schools as a whole
There is an opportunity with the development of the school, to review and evaluate controls and processes which will improve effectiveness and efficiency. Additionally, the school has a number of projects planned, including a large scale building project which the incoming person will be expected to be a key part of.
The successful candidate will be driven and highly motivated, with proven technical ability and relevant experience. Fully qualified (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) is strongly preferred, with substantive experience within the education sector required in a similar role. Key to your success in this role will be your excellent organisation and communication skills, an ability to influence and your ability to manage and deliver effectively on a range of varied concurrent and challenging objectives within a fast-paced environment.
