Buyer
Carbon60 have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join one of the UKs leading building, infrastructure, engineering and fit out companies, based in Wakefield, Leeds on a temp basis. As a Buyer you will assist in the procurement of labour and plant for many of our client's prestigious construction projects.

Key Duties
Assess and compare quotations from suppliers to ensure labour/plant are purchased/hired at competitive prices.
Raise purchase orders in a timely manner to the correct specification and schedule and coordinate delivery.
Liaise with all relevant stakeholders regarding supply issues, delivery, unloading requirements, defective materials etc.
Check and approve all supplier invoices.
You will have a good understanding of the current market costs and report change in any significant cost and delivery time issues to the procurement manager.
Work closely with the head of procurement to ensure that the existing buying strategy and protocols are maintained and developed across the business.Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a buyer within a construction company.
Previous COINS and SAP experience is essential.
Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
Previous COINS and SAP experience is essential.
CIPS trained.
The ability to establish long term relationships with stakeholders and the supply chain.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer to work within one of the UKs largest construction companies on a temporary basis where you will get the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects nationwide.
