I am looking for technical hands on Infrastructure IT manager who is happy to step into a role and giving my clients technology portfolio a full service check and make suggestions where required for improvement whilst maintain day to day business.

My client is looking for a complete technology health check whilst still maintaining day to day business.
You will lead a small team of tech support engineers, and senior technical staff to look at the tech set up and make changes to where improvements need to be made.
This will include Providing support to staff members via Ticketing system and dealing with all queries on a timely basis. Routine issues include issues with pcs, laptops, printers, emails, lab instruments, office 365, project, Visio, and various other hardware and software related issues in the labs and offices.
You will be the only IT Technical person within the business and will be supporting up to 100 users on a daily basis. This will include Providing support to staff members via IT Ticketing system and dealing with all queries on a timely basis. Routine issues include issues with pcs, laptops, printers, emails, lab instruments, office 365, project, Visio, and various other hardware and software related issues in the labs and offices.
My client has a few services also outsourced via 3rd party suppliers.Other day to day responsibilities will also include;
Undertake new starter and leaver process including purchase, build and provision of new starter IT equipment, IT inductions and training.
Manage the maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT infrastructure systems, including physical and virtual servers, storage, firewalls, networks, telecoms, email, photocopiers, desktops, laptops etc.
Manage and monitor perimeter defences (email gateways, firewalls, remote access gateways, wireless access points, door access), back office (servers, core network switches) and endpoints (desktops, laptops, mobile phones, work group switches). Installation of all the latest security patches and Microsoft updates.Profile
You will have a solid technical understanding of infrastructure and can lead and guide a team to project deadlines, whilst supporting approx (Apply online only) user employees. A core understanding and ability to deliver service support and re look at the current technical road map and make suggestions where the technical portfolio can be improved
It is imperative that you have exposure to the following;
Office 365/Office 365 Portal
Microsoft Windows 10
Microsoft Hypervisor and virtual technology
WSUS server for patch installationsJob Offer
This is an initial 3 month contract with extensions also likely. A day rate between £500 - £550 per day ( INSIDE IR35).
Hybrid working of a 50/50 split per month of on site and working from home but this position will require a higher presence at site in the early stages.
This is an urgent requirements for someone who could possible start week commencing 4th July 2022. Interviews taking place next week.
