Lead Data Scientist- Hybrid (Manchester) £50,000 - £95,000

Our client is a prominent technology and engineering company supporting National Security, Defence, and Public/Private sector, working on some of the most advanced technology projects around.

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC & DV clearance. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV. The Role:

As a Lead Data Scientist, You will be responsible for leading delivery teams in the development of technical solutions for National Security customers that have a focus on data services

Technical leadership of teams with mixed technical abilities including data engineering, machine learning, cloud, DevOps, and software engineering
Lead on engagements with customers
Prepare and contribute to technical proposals and bids
Work effectively with Delivery Management to escalate risks, plan deliveries, and resourcing skills
Support customer account team by contributing to business development strategy
As a tech-agnostic company, they are open to a variety of backgrounds, but you MUST have experience using Python.

We are looking for candidates with experience in areas including:

Designing and building scalable data platforms
Analytical techniques for extracting insight from a variety of data sources
Visualisation of complex data
Machine learning
At least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++)
DevOps techniques for supporting repeatable deployment and testing
Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Experience with Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) leadership roles (e.g. Scrum Master, Product Owner)

What's on offer:

Starting Salary between £50,000 - £95,000 depending on experience and if you possess DV, MOD, or UCIP clearance.
