Brandt Education are working alongside an SEN school in Oldham (OL8) area who require a SEN support teaching assistant to look after and work with a primary aged girl who has been diagnose with Autism and is selectively mute. You will also undertake general teaching assistant responisbilities whilst in the classroom.
The school are looking for someone who is caring and can create a lasting bond with the young girl and make her feel comfortable whilst in school.
Two form entry primary school OFSTED: Outstanding Extremely welcoming and supportive staff team and SLTResponsibilities and position:
1:1 care of young girl in KS1. To help out generally within the classroom when the needs of the young girl are met. Personally responsible for the wellbeing of the young girl and her well-being whilst within the classroom.Qualification:
Experience with looking after small children on a personal level would be ideal. The school have stated that the most important thing is that the right individual be very nurturing and pleasant to make the young girl feel comfortable and welcome whilst in school. It is preferable that the successful teaching assistant has prior experience working with children with speech and language difficulties and have worked with Autism as well. Team Teach qualification would be desirable, however the behaviour of the child is not very challenging.Requirements:
