Ward Manager

An exciting full time (37.5 hours per week) opportunity has arisen in North London for a Ward Manager to cover maternity leave. You will be required to demonstrate that you are passionate about making a difference and leading teams to deliver excellence.

In this managerial role you will be responsible for the overall efficiency and effective management of the IPU team of registered nurses, health care assistants and Nurse Associates to ensure our service is able to meet the needs of our patients and families requiring specialist palliative care.

The Unit's multi-disciplinary team are dedicated to the delivery of safe, high-quality person-centred care. They are seeking an individual with a demonstrable clinical competence and significant experience in management and leadership. You will have a passion for palliative care and be able to inspire and lead others to drive improvements in line with local, regional and national standards.

The successful candidate will be expected to be a dynamic and motivated leader, with excellent communication skills; an individual who has the drive and passion to create an inspirational learning and working environment, whilst continuously striving for the highest standards of quality care, with patient safety at the forefront of the service and care provided. This role is instrumental in developing and supporting the nursing workforce in planning and management, staff education, training and development, service improvement and transformation.
