Are you an SME for all things Data Protection? At B&CE, we are looking for a GDPR Compliance Advisor who will work with our DPO to manage our data protection framework. As well as BAU, the GDPR Compliance Advisor will also work on several projects, advising the business on data protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining, developing, and implementing privacy management policies and procedures
• Planning and co-ordinating activities for specific compliance requirements, including horizon scanning for new legal requirements and key data / privacy related outputs from other key regulators (such as the FCA and TPR)
• Providing all round subject matter expertise and on-going regulatory advice, making recommendations as appropriate
• Producing regular reports for the Data Protection Officer and Boards/Committees
• Acting as the compliance representative on multiple projects and for product development, ensuring data protection requirements are fully understood and implemented
• Involvement in second line assurance of B&CE data protection compliance, including leading data protection reviews
• Leading with the investigation or breaches and breach remediation exercises as required
• Providing assistance with compiling data protection impact assessment (DPIA) and legitimate interests impact assessments (LIA) and any other similar risk assessments
• Contributing to broader work, including end to end process reviews for the purpose of ensuring data risks are fully understood and remediated where outside appetite
• Providing challenge to the business in relation to data privacy and compliance
• Provision of data protection training as required
• Supporting the Data Protection Officer as required

Skills & Experience:


• Expertise on national and European data protection law, including an in-depth knowledge of GDPR
• Has a recognised qualification (i.e. certified GDPR practitioner)
• Experience in supporting the management of privacy compliance in financial services
• Cyber experience
