£32.83 ph (umbrella)

My client are seeking a Project Accountant to work at our Head Office in Stevenage, reporting into our Financial Controller.

The role of the Project Accountant:

The Project Accountant should be either qualified or partly qualified with experience in Data Analysts and reconciliations.

This role is for someone who is proactive and works on their own initiative as well as being a team member. Our team is friendly, diverse and hardworking.

General Duties:

* Delivery of defined projects within the finance team, focusing on cost reductions or margin improvements a vast array of contracts.

* Potential development of new processes within the business which enable efficiency and are built for scale.

* Any other ad hoc duties

Profile:

The ideal candidate for this Project Accountant role could be a Part-Qualified accountant (either ACCA , CA or CIMA ), or " Qualified by Experience ". Preferably, you will have experience of working within a large organisation. You will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and develop in a varied role that will require you to adapt and manage in a changing environment. The successful candidate will have:

* Excellent communication skills

* Strong business acumen

* Attention to detail

* Pro-active self-starter, can work under own initiative

* Advanced excel skills

* Excellent analysis and problem solving skills

* Out of the box thinker able to re-think historical processes and to initiate change

* Able to work well under pressure
