Our client, are a specialist Power Engineer, Construction and Design Services organisation, who are looking to build a base within the North East to further improve the growth of their company.

They are a dynamic organisation, who are aiming to double the size of their business in the next 5 years, with a new Teesside office being the first step to further extending their foothold in the UK.

The first of their hires will be for a Project Manager with extensive experience within the Electrical Engineering sector and a proven track record of successfully delivering substation construction, high voltage and low voltage installation projects.

Some other duties of the role will include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with all HSE legislation
  • Abide by all customer contract obligations
  • Manage all sub-contractor commercial terms
  • Be the first point of contact between the customer and the company, providing excellent customer service, technical advice and progress reports/variations
  • Ensure that all subcontractors, operational staff and craftspeople hold the adequate skills/qualifications to carry out the allocated work safely and to the highest possible standard
  • Proactively seek resolutions of any and all issues associated with works to be carried out on the customer's power distribution network

The successful candidate will hold the following skills/qualifications:
  • Significant experience within the Electricity Distribution industry
  • Knowledge of HV electrical systems, components, plant and equipment
  • Commercially astute, with experience in cost control and contract variations
  • Minimum of HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • SMSTS CITB safety qualification
  • Full UK Driving License (Essential)
