Job Title: Vehicle Investigation Engineer (Training Provided)

Location: Dunton, Essex / Hybrid / Field UK

Rate: £23.06 Umbrella Co Basis - increasing to £29.83 Umbrella Co in week 13 of the contract under AWR via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35)

Employment Type: Contract (Until end of December 2022)

Hours: Standard 37.5 Hours Per Week

Globally Renowned Automotive Manufacturer based in Essex are looking to hire a Vehicle Investigation Engineer to be involved in the Forensic investigative team relating to Vehicle Fires.

The hiring manager has advised full training can be provided for the forensic side of the position, and is ideally looking for the successful candidate to have the following skills/experience:

1. Practical Vehicle Background

* Could be from Dealership /Vehicle Fleet / Prototype / Manufacturing / Workshop / Working at OEM / Supplier / Shop Floor / Vehicle Fitter / PD Engineering Experience

* Understanding of a Vehicles make up and knowledgeable of different Vehicle Components

* Enthusiastic to join an incredible OEM and conduct the Forensic Fire training to be able to perform the role

Travel

Although, office based in Dunton, the position allows for hybrid working (current team work onsite once a week).

However, to complete this position, the role requires travel to the scene of the vehicle fire (Nationwide UK). On average this can be once a week but can be more or less frequent depending on the volume of Vehicle Fires. A Full UK Driving Licence is mandatory for this opportunity.

Job Specifics

* The Successful Forensic investigator will investigate vehicle fires in UK market and determine the cause of the fire through onsite investigation and analysis or reconstruction of the burnt vehicle and components.

* The candidate will co-operate with internal and external departments (e.g.: engineers/manufacturers/suppliers/police/public prosecutor). Creates reports, expert opinions and documentation for internal committees (CCRG- Critical Concerns Review Group, FRC- Field Review Committee) and external communication (OGC, insurance companies, authorities (e.g. KBA/DVSA) up to the representation of the results in court proceedings).
