You will be responsible for working primarily with KS3 classes although there will be KS4 classes on the timetable. This English teacher role entails teaching a combination of Literature and Language and the school are looking for someone with a proven track record of steering students to success. A thorough understand of the curriculum is imperative and an ability to engage learners of varying abilities is required. Behaviour is good in the school although excellent behaviour management and relationship building skills are obviously desirable
What you will need to succeed in this English teacher role:
QTLS or equivalent
DBS on the update service
Two most recent professional references
Passion for your subject
Previous UK based experience teaching English to KS3 and KS4 students
Ability to prepare and plan lessons independently and in collaboration with the Head of English.
