Thank you for considering a Research and Evaluations Manager role with Redthread. We are a team of compassionate, collaborative, and courageous professionals, committed to empowering young people to change their lives. This animation was created with our Youth Ambassadors and this clip from BBC News will give you a taster of what we do every day.

We are committed to putting young people at the heart of everything we do and making sure we understand the impact of our services, ensuring high-quality delivery and supporting partners and external agencies in better understanding the wider context of our work. This role is critical to our ability to demonstrate our impact, whilst maximising opportunities for researchers to engage with hospital-based youth work and other youth work interventions, to support the achievement of our strategy.

We need someone who can think creatively, works collaboratively and has a good eye for emerging research methodologies and approaches. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a confident leader, experienced in a range of research approaches, and able to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, drawing on your experience, to scrutinise the research activities.

You must also be a skilled communicator: as comfortable building a relationship with a team member as you are liaising with our clinical colleagues and funders. You'll be keen to keep learning, seizing training opportunities at Redthread and continuously reflecting upon and improving your skills.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, a supportive and flexible working environment, excellent staff training and development package and access to a range of employee benefits including enhanced annual leave and family leave entitlements, employer pension scheme contribution, access to clinical supervisions, enhanced employee assistance programme services and more.

The offer of employment is conditional on satisfactory pre-employment checks. Redthread is not a Home Office-licensed visa sponsor, evidence of the right to work in the UK will need to be provided at interview stage.

Please go to our website where you will find a job description with a person specification including details of the terms and conditions of the post. Please read through the person specification carefully as we will be shortlisting applications using these criteria.

Applications deadline: 10 am, 12th July

In-person Interview: 21st July

We would like this role to start as soon as possible. We will provide comprehensive training and induction.
