A growing Accountancy Practice seeks a proactive, friendly Accountant to join their team. In this varied role, you will be managing a portfolio of clients; taking ownership and managing the accounts completely by preparing financial statements, completing tax returns, providing technical accountancy advice, and other relevant duties. This role would be ideal for someone AAT qualified with 2+ years' experience within an Accountancy Firm/Practice setting.
Salary & Benefits
£20,000 - £25,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible hours and hybrid working are an option), part-time could be offered (30 hours per week minimum, earning pro rata)
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays, increasing 1 day per full year of service, up to 25
2+ years' experience within a Practice setting
AAT Level 3 minimum, or Qualified by Experience (5+ years)
Experienced and comfortable with using Microsoft Excel (the firm uses Excel instead of Accounting Systems)
Experienced and confident with client engagement
Preparation of financial statements for Ltd Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships - managing a portfolio of up to 70 clients over time
Setting up client records, bringing data through and digitising in an organised, coherent manner (administrative data processing)
Completing Tax Returns (both company and personal)
Managing VAT / PAYE / Mortgage applications / Management Accounts
Take a hands-on approach to client communication; managing email enquiries, scheduling & conducting phone/zoom calls with clients to discuss their figures, resolve any queries, discuss their goals, and talk them through their options, providing technical accountancy advice at every step.
