The Role

To undertake all types of Mechanical, repair and replace on Rolling Stock to ensure that we provide our customer with a reliable, safe and defect-free train.

Based within the Rolling Stock industry (Trains) we are currently recruiting for Mechanical Engineers to operate out of a Rolling stock depot based in Crewe, to carry out the Mechanical Overhaul of Rail Bogies. Candidates will be required to carry out the following duties:

Bogie overhaul, damage repair and engineering

Wheel set overhaul, repair and analysis

Bogie chassis, damage repair and clean

Bogie and gearbox engineering / repair

Wheel exchange on wheel sets

Bearing, axle and wheel mounting

Components and sub-assemblies overhaul repair and analysis

Re-engineering and production of spare parts

Experience / Qualifications

You will need extensive all-round knowledge of Mechanical Engineering

Must be capable of working with heavy components

Apprentice trained and qualified or equivalent Level 2 qualifications or higher
