Belmont Recruitment are currently in search of an Phlebotomy Trained Support Worker / Health Care Assistant (SW/HCA) Band 2/3 to join the General Nursing and Mental Health Team based out of Rayleigh in Essex bordering Greater Outer / Fringe North East London. The role is working between Monday - Friday 9:300am - 5:00pm however there is scope for flexibility so applicants who cannot work full time are still encouraged to apply, this is initially on an ongoing locum however this will most likely be made permanent.
This role is to be an active member of this general rehabilitation team, providing short-term, high-quality care and support in a Community and on-site environment. It is essential that you have good communication skills, are flexible and adaptable and can work well within in a team while using your own initiative. It is also essential that you have skills in phlebotomy and carrying out nursing care. You will be based with a district nursing team and will carry out delegated work on a daily basis that will include phlebotomy and other delegated nursing care. It is essential that you have previous health care assistant experience plus have already been Phlebotomy trained and the desirable skills will include eye care, catheter care, and end of life care and wound care. Training will however be provided for all other tasks and the team is supportive of lifelong learning and development. It is also essential that you are keen to learn and develop new skills.
The pay rate for this locum role is between £11.10 - £13.10 per hour dependant on experience, however this is open for negotiation for someone with years of experience.
