Day Rate - £450
Location - London
Duration - 3 Months +
IR35 - Outside

Specialist knowledge and experienceSubstantial experience of managing an application support function

A good knowledge of Windows 10 or higher and of Microsoft Office 2016 or higher

Technical knowledge and experience of MS SharePoint 2013 or higher and MS Dynamics (on premise)

Experience of data visualisation technologies and techniques

Experience of virtual desktop environments

Experience in migrations from on premise to cloud implementations

Knowledge of low code/SaaS application support and development

Experience in developing and implementing data management strategies

Staff management experience

Main Responsibilities

*To ensure teams across the Commission make best use of the organisation's key applications such as its SharePoint implementation 'Skynet' and CRM.

*To have a detailed technical understanding of the potential uses of key applications and how they can work together including integrations and the development of custom automated information management solutions to deliver efficiencies in working processes.
*To manage the continuous development of key applications including engaging with users to gain feedback, specification of enhancements and the management of deployment of system changes.

*To support the Commissions migrations to O365 and hybrid/cloud based application model.

*To maintain oversight of the access rights and security of key applications to ensure the security and integrity of the data held in them to reduce the risk of loss or misuse of important and sensitive information.

Business Delivery

*To manage the day to day support for business applications and data use to approximately 150 staff at 4 sites and working from home.

*To ensure that a responsive support service is provided to all Commission staff and that the agreed issue resolution targets are met.

*To be expert in business applications and data management to provide 2rd line support within the IT team for troubleshooting and resolving IT issues and problems within the Commission

*To work closely with the Senior IT Lead (Infrastructure) to develop technical proposals to support improvements based on business needs and project requirements.

*To lead on the procurement of and management of the activities of suppliers for business applications and data management.

*To contribute to business planning for the Digital, Data, Technology & Facilities teams

*To devise, deliver and improve procedures and documentation relating to the business applications and data management function and to ensure that these are updated and made available on the intranet

*To acquire relevant skills and knowledge to be able to provide back up to the IT infrastructure service
