We are looking for a teacher of German (with an additional language) to start in September to work for one of our amazing schools in the Channel Islands.

The school would consider MFL Teachers who are looking for part time, full time, a temporary or a permanent post. You need to be able to teach German to at least GCSE/IGCSE and ideally be able to teach at least one other language, either French or Spanish.

On a permanent basis, the salary would be between £31,223 and £44,833 according to qualifications and experience but there is also an Upper Pay Scale (UPS) from £47,349 to £50,362 for teachers who have worked for more than six years. You would also receive a relocation package of up to £3,500 (to cover the physical removal and transport of person/s and possessions to the island).

If you started the role on a long term supply basis, you would get travel to and from the island each term, and accommodation provided and paid for plus a daily pay rate of around £170 per day plus accrued holiday pay.

You will:

Be able to commit to a minimum of one term (autumn

Have QTS and can teach MFL (German) plus one other language

Be able to plan, prepare and deliver exciting and innovating lessons

Have strong classroom management, and able to manage any challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner

Enjoy meeting new people and getting to know others on the island
