Our client, a public sector body, seek a Project Manager for an initial period of 6 months, with potential for extensions.

This role is remotely based, with offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

This role attracts a day rate of £500 (inside IR35) umbrella

Main Duties:
Establish and lead the project management, in an effective and efficient manner, to successfully embed and deliver a new strategic Programme - the Supplier Levy - within the organisation ; including setting the vision and strategic objectives, whilst managing the timely delivery and reporting to stakeholders (including Ministers).
Working with the senior management team, lead on engagement with key stakeholders to undertake consultation, identify key risks (and mitigations) to inform and develop a 'SMART' Action Plan and Programme Plan that identifies an appropriate business operating model, successfully embedding the Programme within SPPD, details the ongoing contract management roles and responsibilities and considers continuous improvement.
Within the Action Plan and Programme Plan, ensure that all activities and counter /co- dependencies (including financial matters) are taken into account, planned, proactively managed and escalated - where appropriate.
Leading the development of key workstreams to support the introduction of a Supplier Levy, e.g. Finance, Systems, MI, Audit, etc.
Supporting skills transfer/capability development within the project sphere, through working with staff and assisting their development.
Supporting the cross-directorate introduction of this Programme (and the wider PPM Development within the organisation), including awareness sessions, training, presentations, etc.
Providing support to CCT, where appropriate.
Essential Criteria
Senior experience in programme and project management delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Strong relevant strategic development and co-ordination capability, including working closely with senior stakeholders to achieve improved outcomes.
Excellent leadership, communication, engagement and influencing skills, with experience of engaging with senior leaders across a public sector landscape.
Senior experience of change management and successful transformation
