Anti- Social Behaviour Officer
We are currently seeking Anti- Social Behaviour Officers (Neighbourhoods) for a temporary position paying £29 per hour (Umbrella)
Job Purpose
Responsible for delivering excellent Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) services to our customers by providing services to the highest possible standards and ensuring that operational performance remains high and improves.
Responsible for managing a case load of ASB cases up to and including taking legal action whilst taking a victim centred approach
To participate in the management and development of community safety work and contribute towards to delivery of company objectives
Duties & Responsibilities
To undertake a victim vulnerability assessments for all cases of ASB, ensuring that vulnerable residents are identified and have appropriate support in place
To effectively manage low level ASB cases to bring a quick resolution to disputes
To effectively manage and prepare serious cases of ASB for legal action. In particular, to ensure that cases have been fully investigated, are clear, coherent and that well detailed witness statements have been provided and the appropriate legal action has been recommended.
To liaise with the Police, Council and other community safety agencies, to deliver multi agency interventions to resolve ASB
To represent the company and act as a professional witness in Court and where necessary provide instructions to company legal representative during Court hearings
To contribute to the development and management of the service in respect of anti-social behaviour and Community Safety work and to maintain and develop policies and procedures in line with legislation and to keep up to date with regulations, guidance and legislation in relation to anti-social behaviour and community safety work
To provide training and briefings on best practice in ASB to the neighbourhood team and other colleagues in the group, ensuring that service standards are understood and maintained
To support and work with resident groups to help them influence and develop community safety in their neighbourhoods
Communicate effectively with colleagues to support service delivery using a range of methods including in person, by telephone, via electronic communication etc.
To ensure that Safeguarding is observed whilst carrying out your duties.
To provide periodic reports which may include basic statistical information.
To be aware of external support agencies and have the ability to effectively sign post residents to appropriate service providers to help them sustain their tenancy.
To be able to work alone; visiting residents in their home while observing the organisations lone working procedures.
To investigate and resolve complaints in accordance with the Organisation's policies and procedures
Essential:
Driving licence and access to a vehicle
Excellent numeracy and literacy
Experience of dealing with the public
Experience of taking enforcement action in relation to ASB and resolving conflict situations.
Experience of dealing with a diverse range of customers, including handling difficult and challenging enquiries
Experience of preparing witness statements, legal documents, case reports and attending court
Experience of establishing effective external and internal working relationships
Experience of using IT systems to include Outlook, Windows, CRM, to intermediate level
Experience of working within a pressurised environment requiring a high standard of service delivery within tight timescales
