Developing new relationships and managing a diverse portfolio of existing funders, mainly corporate foundations, focused on 6-figure+ support.
The British Asian Trust was established in 2007 by leaders from the British Asian community with the aim of tackling poverty and inequality in South Asia. Their programmes address systemic problems and inequality in the areas of education, livelihoods, anti-trafficking, mental health and conservation. They aim to promote long-term prosperity for disadvantaged communities, with a particular focus on empowering women and youth. Since their formation, they have Improved the lives of 5 million people across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
As an organisation, they are undergoing a period of transformative growth and are looking for an experienced fundraiser to support this in their programmes and partnerships by raising significant income from trusts and foundations, particularly corporate foundations. At the British Asian Trust, they believe traditional approaches to philanthropy and development will not, alone, solve the challenges of the region. To this end, they form innovative and collaborative funding partnerships, more recently establishing relationships with partners such as BT, Target Foundation, Primark, Citi Foundation and Standard Chartered Bank.

take a leading role, working closely with the Head of Programme Fundraising and other senior members of the Fundraising team, to further develop the organisation's corporate fundraising strategy and approach
