The Role:

As a Senior Facility Maintenance Engineer, you will work within our facility maintenance team to ensure the safety and overall standard and quality of electrical and statutory works completed by our in-house maintenance team and external service providers.

This role will ensure site electrical and facility statutory compliance and will be the nominated duty holder and competent person. The role will also ensure manufacturing equipment and facility is Fit for Purpose and compliant in accordance with current Legislation, Government Policy, Regulatory Requirements, approved Codes of Practice and guidance

You will primarily be based at our head office manufacturing site (BUK), however will also support our other sites (BLP, BPA). This role will report directly to Head Of Facilities and deputise in their absence, when required

* Responsibility for hard facility regulatory compliance, statutory inspections and maintenance e.g. LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, LEV, periodic inspection and test, PAT, fire/ sprinkler & intruder systems, CCTV, HVAC, Gas safety, e-lighting, asbestos management, CDM etc.

* Effective knowledge and experience of H&S legislation & relevant statutory regulations (E.g. HSWA, MHSWR, Electricity at Work Regulations).

* When required, to support hands-on with manufacturing facility multiskilled planned and reactive maintenance e.g. CNC, woodworking, MHE, automation/PLC.

* Improve safe working practices/controls e.g. PTW, LOTO, RAMS, systems, policies etc. Produce Maintenance, Inspection and Testing Programmes.

* Ensure all electrical work undertaken, is carried out by competent persons, undertake quality control of electrical works.

* Responsible person to issue and sign off minor/new works certificates, both internal and external works.

* Plan, manage and execute projects (opex, capex and shutdown).

Requirements:

* High-level of facility technical, electrical knowledge and working experience (3 phase to 24vdc).

* Dealt with Facilities regulations - LOLER and PUWER

* Ideally working experience within automated/manufacturing facility maintenance, in a similar role.

* Formative electrical/maintenance apprenticeship, multi-skilled (electrical bias) with formal engineering qualification to min NVQ Level 3 or higher:

* 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations

* Inspection and testing certificates

* Knowledge of facility sustainability and energy management - Would be beneficial.

* Purchasing and budgetary control experience, liaising with suppliers and service providers.

* Working knowledge of The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) - Would be beneficial.
