Finance Assistant

Reed Accountancy Cambridge are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a part-time, temporary contract. We are looking for someone to support the growth of the department and carry out a mix of financial duties including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and expenses.

Job title: Finance assistant

Location: Cambridge, Dry Drayton (Hybrid option)

Position: Temporary 3 months contract, part-time 22.5 hours to 30 hours (Flexible hours)

Salary: £12-14 per hour

Start date: Immediately

Key responsibilities:

• Checking purchase invoices against purchase orders.
• Collate and enter all supplier, sales invoices, and credit notes on SAGE.
• Update Maintenance Contract Spreadsheet when and as required with invoice numbers and dates.
• Update sales invoice record spreadsheet whenever invoices are raised and sent out to customers.
• Assist with accrual and pre-payment information for month-end
• VAT returns
• Chase up purchase order numbers from customers when/as necessary.
• Update purchases spreadsheet with invoice number, SAGE number, amount and all other relevant information if needed
• Monthly reconciliation of credit card statements

Desired skills: Microsoft Office (Excel), SAGE 50, Good communication skills and attention to detail.
