Engine Builder required to join an established Motorsport and Aviation specialist based in Wokingham on a contracting basis paying £30 per hour (Umbrella PAYE).

Our client is a well-established specialist with an unrivalled reputation as a leading engine specialist and a heritage spanning over 50 years. Specialising in the design, development, manufacture and testing of bespoke engines within the motorsport, automotive and aviation industries our client are experts in their field utilising state of the art equipment and skill to achieve optimum performance and reliability.

They are currently seeking an Engine Builder to join their team of experts within a modern engine build workshop, on an initial contracting basis paying an hourly rate of £30 per hour with the offer of a permanent opportunity following a successful contracting period. The role is based on 40 hours per week across Monday to Thursday offering the successful Engine Builder the benefit of a 4-day working week with the potential of overtime.

The successful Engine Builder will be experienced in the disassembly and rebuild of high-performance internal combustion engines and have proven experience working on high performance engines at a highly professional level. The Engine Builder will have a key understanding of engine fundamentals and characteristics with the ability to work alone or in partnership with the wider team at an unrivalled level of skill.

The Ideal Engine Builder:

Have previous internal combustion engine building experience.
Be confident in taking on a complete engine strip and rebuild to a very high standard.
Possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of engine characteristics.
Possess the ability to calculate cam/ignition timing, compression ratios etc.
Be familiar with using specialist tooling required for measuring/inspection.
Read & understand technical drawings.
PC literate.
Capable of developing a build book/report writing.
Self-motivated, tidy, and organised.
Very good attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
Ability to work as a team member or confident alone.
Must have own tools and transport.
Working Hours:

Full-Time 40 Hours per week, Monday to Thursday.

Pay Rate:

£30 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)

Please note, this position has been deemed inside of IR35, the payrate offered has been uplifted to include Assignment Rate, Holiday Pay and Apex Recruitments contribution towards Employer Costs
