NXTGEN are working with a market leading business who are going through an exciting period of positive transformation and now seek a Finance Systems Analyst at their offices in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tech savvy finance professional who's looking for opportunities to add value and work closely with a suite of Financial reporting tools and systems. As Finance Systems Analyst, you will work with the wider finance community to provide ongoing support to system end users, providing training to new starters and resolving ad hoc user queries. You will also work closely with the Senior Finance Systems Analyst to identify any risks within the system or opportunities to improve current processes, creating efficiencies and time savings. The Finance Systems Analyst will be given great autonomy to also perform data audits and ongoing data integrity checks.
Responsibilities within the Finance Systems Analyst role will include:
Identify opportunities to improve current financial reporting systems and tools, working closely with the Senior Finance Systems Analyst to then deliver these
Provide first line support to the finance team on any functional system queries
Support with training of new starters within the finance team to ensure they understand the full capability of the finance systems
Work with the finance team to define procedures and systems standards to create a consistent user environment
Develop great internal relationships with Finance stakeholders to ensure all finance systems are fit for purpose
Work closely with the IT teams on any technical updates and queriesNo specific Finance qualification is required for this role however candidates will need to demonstrate an interest or previous experience with financial systems. You will need to be comfortable working in a project and changeable environment as the organisation goes through an exciting transitional period. Any prior knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains, Concur or Anaplan would be significantly advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will be a confident user of Excel and will be comfortable reviewing large volumes of data. SQL or database administration experience would also be desirable but not essential
