Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting an IT Support Field Engineer based in Birmingham.

The purpose of the role is to support IT project activity including but not limited to; desk setups, IP phone installs, refreshing equipment, laptop builds and deployment

Contract Duration: 2 months with possible extension

Rate information:

£140.00 per day via umbrella (inside IR35)
Field role covering between 3 - 4 sites with your region
Mileage claimable after 50 miles at 0.28ppm
All parking and tolls claimable with receipts
Monday to Friday throughout duration of contract
9.00am - 17.30pm* subject to variation
Use of own vehicle required
Area coverage: Birmingham
Possibility of extensionThe Role:

Provide end user on-site support
Build the laptops using a USB key, Intune or SCCM build and configure process
Level 1 type support laptop and desktop repairs
Supply new laptops to new users
Installation, Move and Configuration, (IMAC) desk moves and setups
Log and process warranty repairs
Send out new laptops and other laptop peripherals to users and maybe remote users
Help out the users when possible, with IT related issues
Patching network devices
Servers & Network support, occasionally be asked to provide smart hands service
Update customer ticket system recording all activitiesThe Candidate:

Experienced in the installation & configuration of desktops, laptops and printers, following pre-written scripts
Able to undertake basic user audit & surveys to a pre-written script and basic desk side support
Hardware and Software installations / Remote Hands / Phone Rollouts (configuration required) Desk-side support.
Smart Hands / Competent
Ability to interact with customers so as to ensure that the service is polite, efficient and responsive
Ability to work on their own initiative
To work through issues analytically and successfully
At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area required
Strong customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skillsThis contract has been deemed an inside IR35 role, therefore you will need to be paid via umbrella company. the above rates are the umbrella company rates subject to weekly fees and deductions.
