A healthcare business based in York is currently looking for a Finance Officer to join their busy team on a temporary basis. An hourly rate of up to £10.40 is on offer, as well as flexible and hybrid working options and potential permanent opportunities in future. This role can also be done on a part-time basis.

Permanent opportunities will come with further benefits such as competitive pension contributions, pay reviews (based on experience), generous holiday entitlement of up to 41 days, alongside a holiday buy and sell scheme and further benefits.

Reporting into the Finance Team Leader, key responsibilities of the Finance Officer will include:

General purchase ledger duties including processing, checking and authorising volume and complex invoices
To act as the first point of contact for the Finance Team, dealing with questions and resolving or redirecting these
Liaise professionally with all key stakeholders and deal with queries and requests, as required
Other responsibilities within the Finance Team, as and where required and delegated by the Finance Team LeaderThe successful Finance Officer will ideally:

Have previous experience in accounts payable or general finance role
Be computer literate and be confident using various accountancy packages, including MS Excel
Have good communication and team working skills
Experience within a healthcare business/provider would be desirable but is not essential to be successful in this roleWe are keen to speak with individuals who have previous similar experience in a Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant already and looking for a new challenge. Ideally, you will be immediately available and looking for a temporary to permanent opportunity.
