Interim Group Management Accountant

A local authority is looking for a Group Management Accountant to join them on an interim basis for 6 months, paying £225-£275 per day inside IR35.

Key role responsibilities:

Maintaining project in-year and multi forecasts with appropriate narrative
Developing programme and project presentation
Progressing budget approvals through internal and external processes
Producing financial information for grant documentation
Provide financial advice and support to the project teams
To contribute to ensuring that effective external working relationships are established and maintained with outside organisations and agencies

Key candidate requirements:

Qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
Local Authority experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong leadership abilities
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Good knowledge of financial systems
Strong management accounting / month end experience
Financial accounting experience including technical accounting knowledge
Significant FP&A experience
