Do you want to use your background in Digital Content Management to support the success of Birmingham 2022?

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Media Assistant to join the team and support the Digital Media Manager in delivering key strategic objectives. Key responsibilities will include digital media activity across the Birmingham 2022 website, undertake key success reporting and tracking, and work to support digital integration across projects.

The successful applicant will have previous experience working in digital content and will be a champion for digital media across Birmingham 2022.

Responsibilities

Be an internal and external champion for digital media, maximising opportunities and ensuring an innovative, results-driven approach whilst assisting in the day to day running of the Birmingham 2022 website and app.
Provide tracking links for all relevant activity alongside updating digital reports and monitoring success, primarily using Google Analytics.
Help to scope, plan and deliver web updates and fixes, digital advertising and UX developments.
Support digital integration and UX projects, including user acceptance testing and briefing website functionality requirements.
Maintain a consistent look, feel and tone across the website, app and other digital products.
Optimise customer journeys to increase database sign ups, sell tickets, help people find content on the site.Please see the job description for a full breakdown of the position responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

Essential

Strong experience in digital marketing or website content management.
Proven experience of management digital activity and digital content.
Strong attention to detail, with an ability to organise and plan to include a variety of inputs and information streams.
Confident communicator with an ability to perform multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.Desirable

Basic HTML and CSS experience.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics.Why You Should Work For The Games

Contract: Temporary contract until August 2022

Location: Five Brindley Place, Birmingham (full time office-based)

Salary: £12.00 per hour

Please note, due to the nature of this huge event, shift work including weekend working will be required at Games time. Furthermore, there will be limitations on taking annual leave during the Games operational period in July and August. More specific details can be discussed at interview.
