Our client, is a public distance Learning & Research University and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.

They are looking to recruit a Sustainability Project Manager to join their team. This role is to start asap for three months, working 37hrs a week and paying between £17.83ph - £21.27ph. This role will be working from home with the ability to visit the Milton Keynes Office and equipment will be supplied.

Key responsibilities

Manage the AUDE Sustainability Leadership Scorecard - managing data input and showing stakeholders across OU how to use it
Manage and develop the Pan-OU KPI dashboard showing stakeholders across OU how to use it
Work on the People and Planet action plan - supporting stakeholders across OU to evidence appropriate actions
Attend the EAUC Midlands regional group and use the jisc-mail system, debriefing the team as necessary
Working within teams on sustainability workstream including: aspects and impacts (film) risk/prioritisation, monitoring KPIs
Facilitate the development of sustainability policies such as the Catering Policy including no plastic bottled water
Manage oversight of current sustainability related policies and dates for review
Respond to and direct ad hoc requests to sustainability inbox (e-bike schemes, sustainability awards for staff, IT queries etc) and develop FAQ for website and provide weekly update in meetings
Manage and coordinate requests for ad hoc videos/slide decks for internal/external eventsSkills and experience required:

Experience of sustainability projects delivery in HE sector
Exceptional all-round communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
Significant experience of developing and delivering projects which:
Inclusively engage a wide range of stakeholders.
Acting in an advisory capacity to senior management.
Delivering impactful campaigns across a range of channels.
Influencing and positive relationship building.
Influence culture change.
Robust understanding and enthusiasm for Sustainability related issues.
A passion for sustainability and managing projects where there is an impact to people and planet and developing a positive culture for change.
