Registered Mental Health Nurse
NonStop's client based in Havering is seeking Community Mental Health Nurses to work within the Access Assessment and Brief Intervention team and support the continued development of the service. They offer telephone interviews for interested candidates saving you a costly commute and meaning you can get started in your next position really quickly.
The team is the central point of initial referral and access to secondary mental health services within Borough for people from the age of 18-65, who present with mental health needs. The team acts as a gateway providing initial screening and assessment of referrals that are potentially for secondary mental health services, and will provide, after assessment, short-term intervention as indicated, or signposting to other agencies as appropriate.
Delivering a range of evidence-based interventions which will promote recovery, social inclusion and normalisation.
Providing a Recovery focused, multi-disciplinary assessment for people that meet the service criteria and require service provision.
Assessing and planning treatment effectively in partnership with service users, their carers and families to identify needs and agreed desired outcomes from a recovery perspective and to start to plan discharging from secondary mental health services at the point of entry.
Providing short term interventions (6-12 months) focused on preventing admission to inpatient services & preventing referral to Community Recovery Teams. Much of the therapy will be planned groups provided by various multidisciplinary teams.
To work towards establishing a trusting relationship in a flexible, creative way that focuses on individual needs with the aim of providing health and social care needs.
To facilitate and develop a culture of risk assessment, management of clients who have complex presentations and may be difficult to discharge.Mental Health Nurse with a live NMC registration with at least 2 years post qualifying experience working with mental health clients.
