ST Resourcing are representing a Compliance Consultancy Firm based in Stockport. They are looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to join their established team in the policy department. Office based role with part home working option. Salary is circa £55/60k plus excellent benefits.

- To take responsibility for, and effectively manage, all regulatory guidance issued by the company, ensuring quality and delivery of content is both timely and of the highest standard
- To assist other areas of the company as required
- To promote the company as a premier provider of regulatory support services in all dealings with existing and prospective Client Firms
- To act as a positive ambassador for the company
Responsibilities
To provide timely, informative and practical regulatory guidance to internal colleagues and Client
Firms in relation to all aspects of regulation.
Typical work will include:
- Scan and scrutinise the regulatory time horizon to ensure internal colleagues and Client Firms are made aware of the nature, implications and practical solutions relating to all regulatory change
- Effectively delegate tasks to Consultants as required
- Oversee all compliance manual and wider website content and ensure this is consistent, current and presented professionally
- Produce regular regulatory bulletins, updates, blogs, eBooks and articles for use with existing and potential Client Firms
- Scan and identify commercial opportunities within the regulatory change environment
- Review and revise working practices, systems and procedures as required
- Chair regular Policy meetings and provide invited attendees with relevant reports, information and updates
- Build relationships with the FCA, other industry bodies and fellow professional services providers
- Provide regular reporting to Head of Proposition as and when required.
- Provide support to Head of Proposition and other Consulting Division Heads as required
Skills required
- Attention to detail
- Ability to self-motivate and to manage own workload and diary
- Ability to interpret changes to regulation and to analyse where a firm's existing procedures and practices require change in order to meet with the current regulatory standards
- Ability to disseminate regulatory information correctly and communicate this to fellow colleagues and Client Firms in plain English terms along with practical guidance
- Excellent standard of written & verbal communication
- Ability to empathise and build strong business relationships
- Ability to self-motivate in self-learning and the recording of CPD
Qualifications/knowledge/experience
- Financial Planning Certificate (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of UK regulatory framework
- Diploma in Financial Services (or equivalent)
- 5 years financial services industry experience, of which 2 years should involve regulatory experience.
