Our locally based Leicester client are keen to appoint a Finance Assistant to join their Finance team. For a long-term temporary position, working part-time hours Monday to Friday, 18.5 hours per week with an option of hybrid working after a probation period.
The successful Finance Assistant will be required to provide the financial administration services for the team, including the processing accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable.
Undertaking the accounts payable activities, will include raising purchase orders, processing invoices, procurement cards, imprest accounts and assisting with making payments.
The role will also include some undertaking accounts receivable activities, raising of invoices and debt collection and accounting of income. Always ensuring the financial regulations are followed at all times. While ensuring accurate records are maintained.
there maybe some liaison with external suppliers, other employees, customers and other organisations, plus being able to assist other members of the team with the provision of financial information.
The ideal candidate will have excellent Clerical/Accounting experience, good numeracy skills, plus a sufficient to understanding of basic calculations. Good computer literacy skills, in-particular with relation to Microsoft Office and accounting systems, Agresso would be ideal.
A good knowledge of using excel for data inputting and creating formulas. Good written communications skills sufficient to write basic reports. Plus, experience of organising their own workload within a busy office environment within strict deadlines.
