Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer - £400-£450 (Outside IR35) - Edinburgh/Remote Our private sector client is currently looking for a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to join their research team. This role can be done remotely, however the candidate needs to be based in the UK for potentially the occasional/infrequent in person meeting. Role duties: *Working within a small team to develop and influence future software products*Help design large scale systems and services*Prototyping and conducting performance testing *Communicating to other teams and internal stakeholdersEssential Skills and Experience:*An excellent programmer who has recent experience as a Senior Software Engineer *Industry experience of deploying Kubernetes and/or Kafka *Building and maintaining the adoption of enterprise applications *Able to clearly describe (written and spoken) technical solutions to complex problems to technical stakeholders.*Experience with the following technologies: Node, typescript, Java, Docker and Kubernetes would also be an advantage*Experience with Linux Systems *Have come from a .NET or a Java background
