Job Overview
Taking responsibility for all financial accounting, tax and related investment analysis for a series of SPVs within the Global Transportation Investment Management business.
Responsible For
Accounting, tax, financial analysis and reporting for the GTIM business.
Purpose
Take overall responsibility for the core management accounting and reporting requirements of the GTIM division.
Effect the accounting for investment vehicles through which third party investors provide funds to the company for management on the investor's/investors' behalf.
Involvement in/support to business development, providing financial modelling and analysis as required.
Core Responsibilities:
For a series of GTIM investment SPVs, and on an aggregate (fund or equivalent) basis:
Responsible for the monthly and quarterly management accounting/reporting.
Delivery of statutory reporting for all entities.
Tax compliance.
Day to day operational financial activity.
Financial analysis for investments and on an ad hoc basis in support of the GTIM management.
Regulatory financial reporting (monthly / quarterly), where applicable; and
Liaison with investors, GTIM management, company corporate as appropriate.
Skills and Competencies:
Full accounting qualification with around five years' post-qualification experience.
US GAAP experience (required).
Separate managed account and fund accounting experience (required). (Open/closed ended funds; multiple jurisdictions.)
Real asset experience gained within Real Estate, Infrastructure or Transportation
Understanding of investment management / fund structuring, including promotes/carries.
Good understanding of accounting, reporting and budgeting.
Liquidity and treasury management
Debt management and debt reporting
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to interact effectively with external advisors and investors.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
IT literate with excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, macros essential).
Professional Examinations required:
Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with around five years' post-qualification experience.
Other skills required:
Experience of operations in Bermuda, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, Delaware, UK - desirable.
Ability to work from home, when needed (e.g. internet access) - essential.
