Job Title: Finance and Admin Assistant

Reports to: Director of Finance

Role Purpose:

To process the financial transactions of RDA and its two trading subsidiaries, and provide general admin support.

Specific Responsibilities:


Process the financial transactions of RDA and its two trading subsidiaries by:

Processing purchase invoices and expenses, and making payments
Raising sales invoices, and credit control
Processing company credit card payments, and associated reconciliations
Assisting with the year-end process and audit

Assisting with the annual budget process
Other ad hoc finance tasks as required


General admin support within the Finance and wider office team
Assist with the annual Membership and Insurance process
Assist with the Grants to Groups process

Other (general):

Attend and assist at the annual RDA National Championships
Visit RDA groups / regions on an occasional basis
Undertake such other reasonable duties as the Director of Finance shall, from time to time, determine.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience


A working knowledge and experience of accounts principles and packages, including purchase ledger and sales ledger
An organised and methodical approach to workload, including working to deadlines
A working knowledge and experience of MS Office products, including Excel


AAT level 2 qualification or above
Use of Sage accounting package
Experience of charity accounts
Experience of working in a small finance team

Full-time hours (9-5 Monday - Thursday, 9-4 Friday)
Salary of £23,000 plus benefits, permanent contract
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (with an additional day available for each full year of service up to a maximum of 5 additional days)
Location: the role is office-based at RDA National Office, Lowlands Equestrian Centre, Shrewley, CV35 7AX (approx. 5 miles to the west of Warwick)
Full training and support will be provided
We envisage the working week will initially be split: 3 days finance, 2 days admin support
