Commodity Trade Finance (CTF) is a Global Trade and Receivables Finance proposition that provides transactional working capital and bespoke trade finance solutions to commodity sector clients

Commodity Trade Finance (CTF) Transaction Risk Management (TRM) supports the effective identification, assessment, ongoing management, monitoring and mitigation of a deal or transaction risk related to specific product solutions within GTRF

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a GCB5 Manager - Transaction Risk Management.

Role Purpose

The key purpose of this role is to actively participate in the operational delivery of the TRM function by helping to deliver best practice policies, processes and systems efficiently whilst addressing related operational and credit risk. The Manger will engage in the implementation and effective usage of the Collateral Management System and provide a best in class transaction management experience to the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) & Commercial Banking (CMB) customers that comprise the CTF portfolio.

Key role within HSBC where successful TRM delivery is crucial to the efficient build up and sustainability of the CTF business. Meeting the demands of multiple stakeholders will present a test of prioritisation and negotiation as well as of operational efficiencies. Role holder should be seen to offer constructive challenge as well as provide support to stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include:

⦁ In-Flight Monitoring and Control of transactions to identify and react to irregular activity, risk based monitoring of high risk indicators
⦁ Assist with the delivery of a robust TRM operational infrastructure and reporting to underpin cross customer group sales initiatives.
⦁ Assist with the establishment of procedures and framework to provide post-sanction conformance on all CTF facilities as well as ongoing transactional & collateral management
⦁ Assist in the production and execution of CTF Facility and transactional documentation
⦁ Ensure effective delivery and support for Internal Customers - CTF Business Development, CMB and GBM, Trade Services
⦁ Assist in the timely and efficient delivery for External Customers - related CMB and GBM clients and new prospects
⦁ Deliver accurate and relevant MI to Stakeholders - GTRF, CMB, Global Business (GB) Group Risk and regional risk functions
⦁ Provide advice and guidance to other members of the TRM and to both internal and external Clients and Stakeholders as and when needed whilst ensuring delivery of objectives
⦁ Assist in the testing and implementation of the CMS system.
⦁ Contribute to identification and development of best practice systems and processes for TRM,
⦁ Keep abreast of market developments and share knowledge with network
⦁ Take ownership for a "make it happen" approach
⦁ Work collaboratively to support colleagues by actively consulting and ensuring delivery through delegation, personal action and active follow up where necessary

⦁ Be able to understand and interpret financial information.

The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, London. Flexible working options are available.
